1. How do FI drivers pee?

2. Singapore spent US$150 million dollars on the event, but the 'good news' - according to CNA - is that we stand to make a profit of US$77 million dollars in the hospitality industry. I'm not an economist, so why is that good news?

3. With regards to question 2, maybe the 'trickle down' effect really works for the poor in Singapore, but it sounds like those megachurch arguments where it is good to pump S$500 million dollars into a new building, or to have a titanium-clad building like the Guggenheim Museum, in order to draw in new believers.

4. Force India is a really bad name, even Srinjoy, my Indian national friend, agrees! According to him, Force India was set up by a tycoon who is proud of India. Amusing!

6 random things

I ate the most expensive prata yesterday morning. Was fined a 100 bucks for parking along double yellow line.

I wrote a 3000-word cover letter for the UN application, only to realize that we were not supposed to exceed 3900 characters.

There are about 20 words in the above sentence, and roughly 100 characters.

I'm thankful for a quiet space to do my work in the grad room. No one talks, and that suits me fine.

I'm coerced to pay another 100 bucks for a (useless) political science association membership. I could eat 80 pratas with that membership fee.

An ant just went into my milo packet.
